It is the perfect time to explore the Superstition Mountains where you will find many of the beautiful flowers that bloom out here. The weather has been amazing, the grass is starting to grow and the flowers are starting to bloom. Some say it was an ancient celestial observatory. Located there lies the mysterious Indian ruin, Circlestone. Mound Mountain is the highest point in the Superstition Mountains at 6,265 feet. Bugsy is a paint colored horse, 15 hands tall. They learned about what it takes to care for a horse, learned some lingo and took a ride :) A large group of Girl Scouts came out this weekend. This weekend was a beautiful weekend to go riding at the OK Corral. Since then, people from all over the world have come to the Superstition Mountains to search for Jacob Waltz’s treasure, the Lost Dutchman Gold Mine. As the story goes, he kept the whereabouts of the mine secret and those secrets died with him in 1891. For those of you that do not know the legend, in the late 1800′s, a German immigrant by the name of Jacob Waltz located a very rich gold mine within the Superstition Mountains. Of course, there is the famous story of the Lost Dutchman Mine. The Superstition Mountains do not only provide a unique view, but they have a wealth of history. The colors that cover the sky are magnificent. I must say there is no better sunset then on a summer evening here by the Superstition Mountains. Although it is much quieter around here during the summer months there are plenty of rides to enjoy in the mornings and evenings. Hello everyone!
